Poppy Bush pardoned him before the freakin' trial.

And the Dems said not a damn thing.

Just like they will do this time.

4. I'm not sure about that question.
If they aren't charged with anything before Bush leaves office.

If Bush issued a massive blanket preemptive pardon, then the question becomes whether Obama will even try to turn over the rocks for the sake of the historical record, or walk away.

20. I've heard the theory that Nixon's pardon
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 03:14 PM by Truth2Tell
wasn't even legal for that exact reason. I'm no lawyer so I have no idea what the truth is on that.

It didn't matter because no one in Congress wanted to go after him anyway. Same as with Bush.

5. I voted no
Because he hasn't given any indication he will. However, if he's playing his cards really close to the vest, we just might get a surprise. I'm not holding my breath for it though. :(

7. It's not going to happen. The only thing left with no impeachment
(thanks, Nancy!) is the ICC.

18. They can be deemed enemy combatants and jailed indefinitely
Thanks to the Bush administrations policy, we can deem them all enemy combatants and jail them indefinitely in undisclosed locations without access to council for as long as we like, pardon or not! What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I wonder if they realize this? Karma's a bitch!
