Tune the banjos. Someone tell the Repukes it's 2008
Well, we started with last night. President Bush, in an undisclosed location, had to once again evoke the message of 9/11 to the throng of toothless hundreds at the RNC convention.

Oh, and there was Joe Liebermann. He followed the so called country first theme, but inexplicably substituted "Israel" for the United States. And Holy Joe wanted to talk about integrity and who he looked up to the most - his great, great, great grandfather, Benedict Arnold.

And then there was 110 year old Fred Thompson. He regaled the audience with his exploits in "The Great War" and how as a child he discovered the wonders of the "iced cream cone" at the 1904 World's Fair is St. Louis.

And don't forget tonight. Sarah Palin discusses the 6000 year existence of the world in which we live. The "theory" of evolution will be debunked by the college communication major and former sportscaster and beauty queen. Global warming is a hoax, according to released excerpts from the speech, and anyway, there is no need to worry. The Rapture will soon be before us. Also discussed will be the evil of teh Gay Agenda, and why Jesus loves guns.

The presidential candidate will speak Thursday night in one of those "speaking machines." He will define his knowledge of today's world, and boast proudly of how he sent his supporters the announcement of his running mate by carrier pigeons. The term "POW" will outnumber the uses of " 9/11" from the last convention. And of course, he will end his speech with a powerful call of service and endless war with the cry "Remember the Maine!" The 900 or so audience members should be in a tizzy.
