Why is no one suggesting the cost of Energy/Oil has a place in this debacle?

IMO it is the main culprit besides the lack of Health Care. It is a major reason people are unable to meet the demands of their mortgages or much else for that matter. The fact that Exxon is raking in (in pure absolute net profit) OVER One hundred and ten million dollars a day every single day, day in and day out, week after week, month after month, year after year, and yet the price of fuel keeps rising. This effects everybody's ability to meet other financial obligations..This is caused strictly by greed and Republican policy and has nothing to do with minorities or the poor.

I see alot of this "crisis" as a result of Peak Oil and our need to complete restructure our commerce, trade, etc...and the economy will have to change as a result.

I'd like to se some economists weigh in on this topic as well!
