MSNBC Mitchell: Obama didn't get the Blacks
Andrea Mitchell blamed the bailout vote failure on Obama not bringing the Black Caucus on board.

Because you know, since Obama's black, he should be able to get his 'people' in line. :sarcasm:

Black Caucus says throw in the Bankruptcy protection for the little guy and they will vote for it.

20. McLoser didn't get *his own state delegation*
Every single Arizona rep, from progressive Grijalva to reactionary Shadegg, voted No.

So now we know why it was so important for McLoser to high-tail it up there to make sure it got passed. :sarcasm:

4. Is that Obama's job?
Edited on Tue Sep-30-08 06:52 AM by Canuckistanian
I don't think that presidential candidates should be so closely involved with a legislative issue.

It's Reid and Pelosi with the support of Obama who should be getting everyone on board, including the Black Caucus.

5. That is not Obama's aim
He is clearly campaigning as a theme for ALL americans. If Meeks voted in favor that is not Obama's doing as Meeks as well as Obama as a mind of their own and isn't going to support something just because a black candidate says so. This is mindless, out of touch reporting by some in the MSM.

6. WOW!
That is just patently racist. Did McCain get all those white males on board yesterday? Not only is it racist it's dumb. Someone from the Obama campaign needs to call NBC out on this RIGHT NOW. Both Clinton and McCain have done so and have gotten action from it. Look around this morning

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/30/arts/television/30brok.html?_r=3&hp=&pagewanted=print&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

When you complain, publicly, you get action. Remember Tweety's apology to Hillary last winter?

And not only that, she ought to keep her well tucked mouth shut since it's her husband who is directly responsible for the mess we are in.

27. Ms. Greenspan is a prostitute for the financial sector and right wing.
She'll say ANYTHING to smear working class and liberals ... and play "identity politics" whenever it serves her. She has absolutely no remaining cred as a journalist ... she's creature of the cocktail circuit (she's half in the bag at all times) and country club set. She's a "legacy" from the Jack Welch days ... they're "bosom" buddies.

Her and Candy Crowley make a good pair. A pair of lounge lizards at the hotel bar.

9. OH so in her tiny mind Obama's responsible for the actions of
black folks? She's a racist POS. I guess McCain is then responsible for the actions of whites folks. These folks don't even attempt to hide their racism anymore.......

10. This Wasn't Obama's Bill...
It was boooshie's. It was a bail-out for repugnican robber-barons...the Democrats went along only after boooshie caved in on some concessions, but it was still his bill, not Obama's.

I heard Jesse Jackson Jr. explain why he voted "no" (and he represents Obama's district)...saying how there was little in this bail-out for his predominately minority community. It didn't really adddress the mortgage mess or went to investment in his community. At the best this was a bad bill...and even in its watered down version, it offered little for his constituents.

13. she had her outrage on--the Wall Street crash is Obama and Blacks fault
No mention of McCain taking credit for deal.

No mention of 60-some percent of Dems on board with a Republic plan.

No mention of McCain not delivering leadership in the Republican ranks

Dems actually showed up to make a compromise.

Repig Presidential candidate takes credit for a deal where his guys fail to show.

YET, MS GREENSPAN BLAMES OBAMA AND BLACKS FOR THE 700 POINT DROP!!!

18. I've heard this blamed on just about every minority in the country
in some way during the last week. This morning a NYTs reporter said, essentially, that we need the bailout because poor people with no job, credit or I.D. had taken out loans. He made it sound as if they held up the damn bank. It was nuts.
