Oh fuck! Bill Clinton the star of new McCain ad

(CNN) — As he gears up to hit the campaign trail on behalf of Barack Obama later this week, former President Bill Clinton is the star of a new television ad — for John McCain.

The Arizona senator's campaign is highlighting Clinton's remarks in an interview with ABC News last week during which he appeared to lay some of the blame of the current economic crisis on congressional Democrats.

"I think the responsibility that the Democrats have may rest more in resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was president to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac," Clinton said in the ABC News interview that is highlighted in the new McCain ad.

Bill Clinton's "brilliant political instinct" on display once again.

Nor do I think it's your intention to be.

11. That doesn't answer my question.
Was Clinton right on the money or not? Make up your mind.

I thought the goal was to elect Democrats.

I don't think electing Democrats is your goal.

Just give it up, please.

And by the way, an ad praising your old liar McCain as a champion of deregulation is an absolute joke, and everyone knows it. Not to mention that Barack Obama wasn't even in the Senate when Clinton was president.

So yes, the ad is another lie.

7. Tell me which Democrat should have done exactly what with that
"Republican proposal" and exactly how that would have prevented the current mess.

The problem is oversimplification and Clinton knows very well how our soundbite culture works.

Clinton's words have validity with repugnicans?

Eight years after it could have mattered for America?

Invoking The Big Dawg: The Last Refuge of a Desperate Campaign.

One can only hope that the only minds this would change would be the simplest, and they're already voting for McSame.

If Clinton likes him, he must not be worthy of their vote. Maybe they should all stay home.

23. Yes, Bill's being a dipshit and helping McCain in obvious ways.
His "endorsements" of Obama are weak and not convincing, as Bill intends.

As far as I'm concerned, Bill is not a Democrat any longer. He's a whore for sleazy business interests, and more a Bushie than a Democrat.

28. Join the McCain Campaign!
Wishing you could be a campaign surrogate, but don't have a national platform? Do you find blogging your own opinions tedious? Wish you could have someone tell you what to think during this political season? Well look no further than John McCain's new blog outreach!

That's right; the McCain camp wants to recruit online supporters and activists to serve as comment trolls. From their website:

Help spread the word about John McCain on news and blog sites. Your efforts to help get the message out about John McCain's policies and plan for the future is one of the most valuable things you can do for this campaign....Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you've commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below.

Now, don't worry if you've never heard of a blog, or never written a comment, or heck, even used a computer. Because not only does the campaign tell you on which blogs to comment -- Redstate for right-wingers, Daily Kos for progressives (sorry HuffPo fans, we didn't make the list) -- it will even tell you what to say! Just click on the Blog Interaction page for "Today's Talking Points."

You might be thinking, "What's in it for me?" As a matter of fact, for every comment the McCain verifies, you will awarded McCain Action Center. Which is important, because in Fantasy Land 2013, those things will replace the dollar as American currency.

Now Clinton goes out on the trail and guts McCain for misquoting him and taking liberties.

Hey, it's just as likely as any of the "OMFG, IT'S A TRAP!!!!" BS that's been around here lately.

32. Won't it
be sweet if during the next debate Obama looks over to McCain and says "Senator, for years you and the rest of the Republicans loathed all things Clinton. So tell us all John, why all of a sudden is Bill Clinton someone you would use to prove your point?"

That should pretty well set McCain in to overheating mode.
