We the American People have been Lied to non stop for eight years now
Is it any wonder people are hesitant to jump on board for such a massive give away to some of the wealthiest companies in America. Especaially since most of the people telling us this give away is needed come from those wealthy companies. The trouble with constantly yelling wolf is that when a real crisis arives no one wants to believe any more. How did Bush* put it "Fool me once , can't fool me again" I believe that the US Senate supposedly the "Most Deliberative Body on Earth" needs to do a little bit of deliberation and not allow themselves to be paniced by the LIARS in the Administration. I do not believe the crisis is so dire that a week or two will change much at all. There is a tremendous amount of hype and people just need to slow down a bit and use their brain for a change.

1. Bush and Cheney should both resign for the good of the country
These scum have zero credibility.

2. They need to use their brains and call upon some experts
in Economics and Finance to structure all this. Just because you sit in the Senate or the House, does not make you an expert on the right way to straighten out what a bunch of self-serving politico's have foist upon us. I think we need to engage EXPERTS in the fields, not old-boy politico's who are makes guesses at our expense.

3. Perhaps one of the biggest reasons we find ourselves in the
predicament we do now is a simple matter of being honest with ones self or rather lack of being honest with ones self. I understand politics is and has always been an arena for one-upmanship. Putting your opponent in a bad light while putting your own candidate in a good light. It's been going on like that since before Caesar I expect. Then add to the mix a good amount of sophistry, and /or flat out lying in some cases and you have modern day politics. But the republicans have added even another layer of sleaze to the political mix.

This latest and greatest tactic seems like it was lifted straight out of Josef Goebbels playbook. What I believe we all acknowledge as spin. Or more rightfully, propaganda. Taking the act of being dishonest and making that the very foundation of your core principles. Create an image or a persona and embellish it to fit your needs. A case in point is GW bush. Another is currently Sarah Palin. If we were actually being honest about either one of these two, neither one could claim they were qualified for the jobs they were picked to do.

And that is where we find ourselves. We have an entire media complex catapulting propaganda at us to prop up completely unqualified and disastrous people to run this country. If we ever hope to see outward enough to right this foundering ship, we have to look inward first and take an honest assessment of what we see.
