Palin's remark about expanding Executive Power, expanding Cheney's idea of Unitary Executive
Palin said in the debates that she wanted to expand on Cheney's program for a Unitary Executive (in not so many big words), and that under her, the office of the VP would have a more active role in the Legislative Branch.

I have posed this to all of the Conservatives I know, asking them why this is acceptable for her to want to grant powers to the Executive Branch which go beyond the Constitution and which have been used to allow a lack of oversight, and none have yet answered me.

I really do not get how so many can ignore this, or why it doesn't bother the "small government" types, to see such an obvious power grab that they'd be up in arms about had Clinton or Biden or Obama said it. I keep pushing for an answer with the sole hope that perhaps it will sink in and make people think about it.

I did have one guy ask me for specifics on Cheney's program (lol! Someone has not been paying attention the past couple of decades!), so I provided them, but then he bowed out of the conversation to never return.

Come on, freepers! Put your damn money where your mouth is! I challenge you to explain why disregarding the powers given to the Executive Branch by the Constitution is a good thing!
