2. We've been vindicated but the worst is yet to come.
That's not doom and gloom. That just is.

3. Not even close
When the DJIA is down 90% rather than 30% and unemployment is 25% not 6% then the "next Depression" chicken littles can (and will) preen with impunity.

7. No, I know people like instant results, but that's not how it works.
You have to wait several months. Unless the markets just utterly collapse soon, day to day ups and downs mean very little. This is coming from someone who thought the bailout was the height of stupidity.

However, it's not currently looking like the bailout accomplished it's stated (different from actual) function, to give confidence to those involved in the market.

I thought the pro-bailout crowd was the gloom & doom set.

The cost of being right is sometimes too high to be worth it.

13. I want to know when the ITYS (I told you so) party is.
So the pro bailouts can show up and explain to us how it should have worked but didn't and if we are just patient enough it eventually will but only if we throw a few more hundred billion at the problem and after the elections when confidence is better and the toxic dead cat will wake up the commercial paper bear and then the market will rebound and you'll see how very correct we were!

19. Wrong.
Most broken clocks are digital, display no time at all, and thus are never right.

Even many broken analog clocks are generally never correct, as the hands are not in sync or are missing altogether.
