if the unthinkable happens and mccain get's his butt in the big chair - palin won't be allowed to do much. she'll make appearances when they need some skreetching voice to read talking points
they didn't even tell her they were surrendering michigan - she "read" it in a paper the next day.
she may not be part of the campaign inner circle for day to day planning, but I would think they would at least let #2 on their ticket know what was going on...
