6. Stimulus

Like Pavlov's dog experiments, we were supposed to begin salivating and then spend the stimulus check on worthless gewgaws. Going on anecdotal evidence alone, those checks went toward keeping a lot of people's heads above water - buying basic necessities like food or gasoline - or went toward servicing debt. I don't know anyone personally whose check went toward something frivolous or that could be construed as a 'status symbol.'

The feds sent me one letter telling me that I qualified for $1500...and then another saying they took it because my student loan is in default.
once again, the money is never given to those that actually NEED it.
I understand that my student loan needs to be re-paid, but you know,
If I qualify for an EIC , that probably means I DON'T have the income to pay anything back yet!
(made less than $8000 last year alone)

...and at this point it isn't like I can finish my education and get the better paying job, because I have been blackballed from all assistance for school.
So i can't get past making $10/ hr and I am a single mom with 3 kids and 2 deadbeat ex's...

FDR knew what he was doing when he put people to work.

If you want a robust stabile economy you MUST have a strong and prosperous middle and lower class. We put money into the economy immediately...not try to hide it in some offshore account.
