McCondescending
How can McCain assume that a member of the audience had never heard of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac prior to the mortgage meltdown. Again very condescending. Maybe the young black man he was speaking to had not heard of the organizations before. However, I doubt it. That statement rubbed me the wrong way.

I would have loved it if the young man would have said "actually Mr. McCain I did understand Fannie and Freddie prior to the mortgage meltdown, now answer my question about the bailout! "

1. More likely MCCAIN had never heard of them
because he could always pay cash for his 12 houses (or however many he has now)

4. Disgusted
Earlier in the night, I decided to visit and Conservative discussion forum, just to see what they were saying about the current debate. What a mistake that was. I just read and didn't respond, how pointless would that be. But it really is shocking to see what ignorant, hateful and racist things these supposed christian people say about us and Obama. Some of the things I will not repeat here. It really upset me, even though I know it shouldn't.

8. Welcome
They still get under my skin after decades of fighting just this sort of trouble. It shouldn't but it does, because it affects me and those I love.

I just can't beleive people swallow what the TV news spits out even today.

10. Bonjay, those people are morons.
My parents and sisters are conservative, so I know all the self righteous crap they sling around. Obama is the future of America, no wait, he is America. If those other people wanna live in some 1950's fantasy land, let them. They are all just bitter hateful people because their party is crumbling and the winds of change are blowing heavier in their faces.

7. I wonder . . .
. . . if he would have said something that stupid if the questioner had been white. Somehow I doubt it.
