FDRs Fireside chats...
They have some of the best defenses of progressive ideas. They are a must read for anyone here who has conservatives in their daily life going off on "liberals".

1. Thanks for the reminder, I have a copy of them.
They'll be a comfort just to hear his voice again, so to speak. I do have some of his speeches on a CD. His "Fala" speech, for instance. And the speech to a group of union people -- saying something like, The Republicans couldn't care less about labor as a matter of course, but then every four years, right before the presidential election, suddenly they LOVE labor. And he pronounced "labor" "Labah." I love it.
