Ok, Somebody, ANYBODY, With All The Blood In The Water, Any Updates On Frist Or Delay?
Edited on Thu Mar-15-07 09:19 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
I just scanned Google news and google blogs and I can't find updates on a damn thing about their court cases/investigations. They may not be active members of government anymore but I still want to see justice for them as well. Are there ANY updates on them at all? Any time frames? Any, well, anything? LOL

Thanks in advance,

OMC

4. Delays case is tied up in appeals court right now, he's trying to get the charges
thrown out. Delay went mental on Gingrich today.

10. oh he'll drag it out for as along as possible, could be weeks, months or years.
I've been waiting patiently since 1997 for Delay to get his comeuppance. I always knew he was a bastard but after i moved to Texas i learned to think even less of him.

11. I Find Him To Epitomize The Republican Culture Of Corruption.
There's just something about him that made me loathe him more than any other republican member of congress ever. Just somethin about him.

14. yup same here, i hold him in even more contempt than i do *.
if you ever get a chane you should pick up a copy of "The Heist" by Peter Stone, it is the book on Abramoff and Delay. Peter Stone has been writing for National Journal for years but this is actually his first book and it's really well done. Also he was on book notes on cspan and it was excellent and worth a look for sure. Sheesh i sound like the guy's agent.

6. The hounds aren't baying over in that woods anymore.
They got fresh meat up some new trees. It's an attention span thing. George Miller, a well-known old psychologist, used to say that the average person can only keep seven things in mind at once. The press is pretty far below that average. They can handle two things at best. Only one if it's a juicy child-sex scandal.

8. But The Investigations And Court Proceedings Are Still Open. Just Have No Idea Where They're At
in the process. I've heard nothing on either case in what seems like god knows how long now. With all the talk of more heads to come, I couldn't help thinking about theirs too.

16. I understand, I understand. I'd like to know too, actually.
I was just having one of those upwellings of cynicism I get so often these days.

12. Imagine my surprise when I got this in my email yesterday
I mean, he was there for how long and didn't do anything about this then ... why the concern from him now?

Each year I travel to Africa as a medical missionary. I've just returned from my latest trip, a deeply troubling visit to the Sudan.

Due to a series of increasingly violent attacks on foreign aid workers in Darfur over the past six months, international efforts to protect civilians and provide them with food, clean water, shelter, and medical care are in a state of crisis.

Countless men, women, and children are in real danger of falling prey to violence, starvation, or disease as a result of these attacks.

The U.S. must take the lead in working with the international community to end the violence. The lives of millions hang in the balance.

Please join me in calling the White House comment line today to urge President Bush to launch "Plan B," his tough, three-tiered plan to push Sudan to end the genocide, before more lives are lost in Darfur.

It will only take two minutes of your time and could make a world of difference for millions of people in need. Just follow the steps below:

Dial 1-800-671-7887 (toll-free)
Once you've been transferred to the comment line leave your comment using the talking points below:
I'm calling to urge President Bush to implement "Plan B" to help bring an end to the genocide in Darfur. Specifically, I am asking him to:
Enforce tough sanctions against Sudan;
Work with the UN to authorize and enforce a no-fly zone over Darfur to protect civilians from Sudanese bombers; and
Press the UN for faster deployment of UN peacekeepers to protect civilians in Darfur.
Click here to report your call back to the Save Darfur Coalition (this step is crucial - please don't skip it.)

The U.S. and the international community are all that stand between millions of civilians in Darfur and the Sudanese regime's policy of genocide. Hundreds of thousands have already been killed, and time is running out for millions more.

Without tough "Plan B" measures to accompany diplomatic efforts, the international community's efforts to end the violence in Darfur are doomed to fail.

Please follow the steps above to join me in calling the White House comment line to ask President Bush to launch "Plan B" without further delay, then click here to report your call back to the Save Darfur Coalition.

I hope you will help me spread this message of urgent action by forwarding my email to your friends, family and co-workers and asking them to join you in taking two minutes to call the White House.

Thank you for your ongoing advocacy on behalf of the people of Darfur.

Sincerely,

Senator Bill Frist, M.D.

13. He Had The Power Then To Make Change. He Should've Used It.
I agree with you that it's perplexing why he's sending an email like that now. Honorable mission, but damned if I can trust his sponsorship of it. He had his chance. He was too busy fucking America.
