I remember saying to a few people that Paul Krugman was a likely Nobel Laureate
Because whenever I am get into a discussion of economic ideas or a I write a column or send info out to my email list etc etc, I often get asked or challenged on my info. So somebody will say "Well where do you get your info from________" (fill in blank with MoveOn.org... Communists... etc etc) and often I'd have gotten it from Paul Krugman. So I'll say: "NY Times columnist and Princeton economist Paul Krugman."

To which I will sometimes get a "Who is that?" or some derisive comment about a "librul" etc. But a few times I said, he was probably going to be a Nobel Prize winner.

It feels good to be right. :)

But it feels even better to see that he's being recognized for all the great work he's done. Paul Krugman and Molly Ivins got me through the first several years of the Bush Administration. When I discovered them it changed my life.

So congratulations to Paul Krugman, you are officially THE MAN!

1. The best part was listening to Joe Scarborough and Jim Cramer howling about it.
"It's Eugene V. Debs part II" -- Cramer

4. lol
What's screwed up is these guys think they know how all of this stuff works. Republicans still they haven't done anything wrong, they even try to blame Dems for the crisis etc. Not they're pissed off because one of the people who has been right on everything these last several years won the Nobel Prize. But they still know it all, right? :)
