I thought I saw a "peace sign" being flashed behind Plame.

35. They have mine
I have not only seen them on TV but I have met many of them in person. Their passion is inspiring. I can't even imagine quitting my job and going to DC to lobby against the war. Living on donations, not knowing where I will be staying next week. Selling my home and my liquidating my assets so I can make my voice heard in DC. I cannot imagine the bravery it takes to do that. I have nothing but complete respect for anyone who does that.

123. Yes, it's a hearing
but isn't the whole point to find crimes and punish them? What better way to show we are willing to do that than to show we want EVERYONE up to the very highest office held accountable. We've gotta get the word out there to take the 'shock' value of it away. The more people see 'impeach' the better off we are.
Just my opinion.

12. This is not the venue for this.
I support what Code Pink works towards, but purposely getting in camera view and making gestures at a very serious and important hearing makes a circus and distracts.

Doesn't advance Valerie's cause or any progressive cause, and gives ammo to the other side.

It's selfish self-promotion.

Perfect example of an "idiot liberal".

58. Completely naive.
You're the same one who called the woman who pestered Obey while secretly filming him a 'hero'.

Frustrating how some have no realistic idea of how of politics or PR works. Selfishly promoting their causes at the expense of the progressive movement as a whole.

Downright embarrassing, actually.

I am also an organizer for our local rally this weekend. Consider yourself invited. Oh, and there is NO dress code.

And, in classrooms, federal buildings, campus administration buildings, parks, around military bases, and the streets.

So Joe Republican is watching and sees a woman in a pink suit...guess which reaction he'll have:

or
2. "What a doofus"

68. I rather doubt that.
Seeing my first "protest" against the war in Vietnam was in 1965 when I refused to extend my enlistment to go there.

Oh, dear, the lady doesn't meet your fashion standards.

If you were at protests during Vietnam I must have missed you in your 3 piece Armani suit. Most of the people I came across at the protests weren't all that worried about how everyone else was dressed.

Actually I don't give a rip what "Joe Republican" allegedly thinks.

That is the main point.

I have nothing against pink tiaras or polka dot tu-tus for that matter.

But this is Valerie's Day. I'm sure she appreciates someone behind her making faces and gestures while she is on national television testifying before Congress about matters that, up until now, she has had to remain silent on.

It's like, have some fucking respect, PLEASE.

88. And, I remember the same "play nice" crap from some back in '65.
The Republicans aren't going to impeach because we pander to their delicate sensibilities. They might agree to impeach if it's in their own interests to do so.

If they aren't going to support impeachment because of a lone pink-clad demonstrator than I rather doubt they're going to support it all.

Anyone who thinks politicians are going to do the right, and sometimes risky, thing because we are nice to them is living in a dream world.
