Question for people who have gone-a-canvassing
I'm signed up to canvas in Indiana the weekend before the election. I don't have any Obama apparel except for a couple buttons. I order a t-shirt at the end of September but I guess it's still on back-order. Should I just wear something blue and pin on my buttons? Blue and red? Does it matter? Do they have SWAG available, and if so, what is the size selection like (I'm a YL or S and those sizes go fast)?

Thanks for any info!

1. I just try to look casually nice with comfortable walking shoes,
My friend tripped tonight and fell on her knee walking some crooked sidewalks while canvassing.

I have 3 Obama shirts now but when I didn't I just tried to look casually nice with some buttons as you've said.

6. Thanks!
I'll plan on some khakis and a sweater with my buttons.

3. It really doesn't matter that you don't have Obama apparel
Look like someone you wouldn't mind having knock on your door. Just neat and friendly. The Obama buttons would also be good.

4. I'll take out my lip and eyebrow piercings.
I'll try to use makeup to cover the skull tattoo on my chin, but that may be difficult. And the neon green dye in the hair is *really* had to get out.

Oh who am I kidding, I could be a poster child for the white supremacy movement :(

7. Obama Carol
"Here we go a-canvassing among the fields so green.
Here we go Obama-ing, so fair to be seen.

Love and joy come to you,
And to you Obama too..."

Sorry, your headline set me off...
