I'll be able to keep an eye on things on CNN and the International Herald Tribune in the bigger cities but prolly not in the little Basque towns.

It will be interesting to hear what the Spanish people are saying about our election. I expect them to be wildly for Obama, though!

.... I visited in 2005, with memories of Kerry-Bush '04 still fresh, and remember a "Fuck the USA' scrawling in one of the metro stations....
But people were very respectful and friendly toward us as individual Americans with clearly different worldviews than Bush, but "America" as a collective was on the Catalonian shit list.

10. Sounds like a great trip

I love northern Spain, especially Barcelona and the Costa Brava. Andorra is lovely too. The last time I was in Spain was in '92 right before Bill Clinton was elected. Very interesting time right after the Olympics and almost everyone was pro-Clinton there.
