We've heard a lot less talk from McCain about Obama's celebrity.

I guess because:

• Sarah Palin is an empty shell that brings only populist reactions
  
• Joe the Plumber is trying to milk his 15 minutes of fame with book and recording contracts
  
• Arnold Schwarzenegger is campaigning for him.

1. Yeah, I noticed that Entertainment Tonight has turned into Sarah Palin Tonight.

It comes on right after my local news, so I've been leaving it on long enough just to hear their teases for the night's upcoming stories. All Sarah, all the time.

2. That's interesting. Do they view her positively, or is she merely fodder for their show?

3. I rarely watch the show itself because it's so annoying, but the tone

they usually strike is gushing adoration of whatever celebrities they are covering. If there are stories that force them to report negative news, it seems to come from an "isn't it terrible that this is happening" perspective. They are still giving regular updates on how Anna Nicole's baby is doing--coverage of birthday parties, public outings, etc.
