My friend's baby died today
He was only 8 months old.

I feel guilty for wanting to celebrate the election and being happy for Obama.

This is a terrible day, yet will also be a beautiful one. My emotions are all over the place, and I'm not sure how I should act around people.

1. I'm so sorry for you and the baby's family.

When you're with your friend, or even talking to her on the phone, try to BE there for her, just focused on her, not the election.

The rest of the time, feel free to celebrate.

As Barack himself is experiencing today (with the death of his grandmother), even in the midst of grief, life goes on.

2. How terrible. My heart is with you
and sends thoughts and prayers to your friend.

How should you act? Just be yourself. Don't be afraid to admit to mixed emotions. People will understand. I'm sure a certain man will be feeling them today very much like you are.

3. There is no 'should' in difficult situations like this.
Be yourself; there are times when you are going to want to break down and cry, and maybe later tonite, rejoice in the new direction for the country. Let your feelings dictate your actions and don't let anyone else's expectations dictate how you react.

My condolences to you and your friend on her loss.

7. How Terrible

I'm so sorry for your friend and his/her family - - and for you as well. I don't think you should feel guilty, though; if we get the result that we expect, then that's something to celebrate and perhaps take away some of the pain.

8. Today is a bittersweet day for me too...
It is one year since a very close friend died suddenly at 35.

It has been 5 years since my stepmother's mom died, my brother still cries for her regularly. It is also his birthday today.

You will act how you feel at that moment, and you will have a wide range of emotions.

I am very sorry for your friend. (((((( healing thoughts )))))

:hug::hug:
