Pix from yesterday's peace rally & march in Toronto (dial-up warning)
The weather was brisk (and the lighting conditions were brutal). Happily, there were a lot of us Murkans in attendance, eager to stand in front of our consulate and join with our Canadian neighbors in calling for an end to this madness.

A speaker from the Canadian Peace Alliance:

The rally across from the US Consulate on University Avenue:

The Consulate was safe from the scary peaceniks behind crash barriers and cops:

The march took a roundabout route down several major streets, ending at City Hall. I had to leave before it ended, but managed to join in for a while. Very good vibes from the crowd:

Heavy police presence all over the area. Cops on foot, cops in patrol cars, cops on bikes and cops on horseback:

2. Nice shots, Jeff...
I like the black-and-white. It gives the photos a real "journalistic" feel in the old-school sense. It looks like you had a good crowd there.

5. Thanks, Blue. The turnout was pretty good
though it seems the police were prepared for a much larger crowd than we had. I couldn't stay for the City Hall rally. It would have been a good venue for photographs because the square is so open. Maybe next year... God knows Bush won't be withdrawing troops anytime soon.

6. They're beautiful animals.
I always worry about their safety when protests turn ugly. But this event was so peaceful I saw a cop letting people pet his horse while they waited for the march to come by.:)

9. Great pics from Toronto, Jeff!
Thanks to our Canadians neighbors for getting out and Marching in that "brisk" weather!

Interesting about the "9/11 inside job" and "google Northwood".
