25. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt ....
But there is no actual evidence that violence that has been occurring for centuries is now suddenly 'caused' by a new US President being elected ... One that has promoted a moderate policy towards Muslims ...

While I can believe that their agenda would include attacks in places they have already attacked, there is no proof of a direct correlation between those acts and the US election .... It is speculative ...

26. Several reasons. The first is the implication that because obama won that is why it happened
This is what came constantly from the republicans that Obama's inexperience would invite an attack

The second reason is because of the thought process that king is portraying that the world revolves around US. Why would our election have ANYTHING to do with with that attack?

As I said previously, it is more likely due to the actions of the bush administration attacking Iraq which had NOTHING to do with 9/11

31. Well, much of what happens in the world IS a result of our own actions.
Isn't that one of our main points to explain 9/11? I don't mean the 'official version', but how we are -perceived- around the world. I have no idea what triggers the crazies in Asia...if you do, there's probably a spot in the State Department for you! I'm damn sure you could do a better job than Condisleazy Rice...

Somebody with King's journalistic integrity should know that a pundit can only idly speculate on the question, whereas a psychic could give a definitive answer.

Not everything is about the U.S.

Even if it was, it doesn't have to be a response to the election. He's using the fallacy that because something happened after another thing, the first happening must be the cause of the second.
