1. I'm soon to be 61 and quick as a cat
maybe quicker. I don't think age has had any effect on my quickness, if anything it's helped it.

5. Believe it or not, 62 is not old as far as physical or mental activity go.
As a matter of fact, many people are in much better shape, physically and mentally at that age than they were when they were younger.

11. Only in exceptions and wishful thinking.
There undoubtedly are many thousands of 60+ folks who are fitter and sharper than they were at 25, or even many people are at 25, but it's by no means the norm. There's a reason senior athletics tours are separate from prime of life analogs, and there's a reason fighter pilots and others who rely on reaction speed are normally young. Our nerve and muscle fibers start to atrophy long before 62, and while exceptionally good physical care and exercise can slow this down, nothing can make most peiople of that age even comparable to most 20-somethings physiologically or neurologically.

I'm in between, and have no dog in this fight - but it's simple basic science to see that the aging process causes humans to decline, not the reverse. Anecdotal examples, however true, remain stories, not data.

12. I am 53 and will be the first to admit generally speaking humans don't age well
And reflexes are the first thing to go.

Thats why there aren't too many above 40 year old baseball players.

9. Without any help from the secret service too
The man was able to throw not just one shoe, but took off the second one and threw that too. The secret service was no where in sight so it was good that our dodger-in-chief was so good at his dodging job. More so since the Iraqi leader standing next to Bush just stood there, not even flinching--as if having shoes thrown at him were an everyday occurrence.

16. Naked drunks dancing on bar tables need quick reflexes to dodge thrown beer bottles, too.

You said it best, though, underpants:
At heart, the crazy warmonger is a draft-dodger.
