Jackson, Jr. an informant to Blago investigations
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (CNN) — Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. — who was cited in a criminal complaint against Rod Blagojevich — has been an informant for at least a decade with the U.S. Attorney's office, and has informed on the embattled governor of Illinois, though not in the case currently under investigation, Jackson spokesman Kenneth Edmonds told CNN Tuesday.

In addition, two sources close to Jackson told CNN that, in 2002, Blagojevich — then running for governor of Illinois — solicited a $25,000 campaign donation from Jackson, which he did not get.

At the time, Jackson's wife, Sandi, was a candidate for the job of director of the state's Lottery Commission, a post she did not win, the sources said.

Watching CNN Situation Room now and they stated he had been an government informant for the last 10 years

1. There's no bloody way, after everything he knows about the FBI
surveiling movement people, that Jackson would ever allow himself to be caught off guard, let alone, involved in something so out of control AND low. That never made sense to me.

2. Salves his reputation a bit, but some people would now vote against him
for being an "informant"..

3. This puts him in a favorable light I think. Everyone knew Blag was a
scum, but without evidence Fitz couldn't do anything. Good for Jesse. I hope this works for him.

6. The only question I have is why the last ten years
and who else was he informing on? The article states that Blago first solicited a campaign donation in 2002.

9. I'd inform if I were in politics.
nothing worse than a corrupt politian, but whistleblowers would get blackballed. So the other options are play ball, or play ball and inform, or stfu.
