right now?

If you don't, how is he or she chosen in the wake of Paterson's taking over for Spitzer?

Is the Lt. Governor in NY nominated by the Governor, elected by voters, or what, and how big a variable is this in the Senate seat appointment?

"elected" government. Repukes are just farting into the wind. To spend additional money 20 million plus for an election of 2 yrs is stupid unless of course there is one to fill the selected positions we have now with elected officers. They are hoping Rudy gets it... in the end because they (GOP) can't fill even a dog catchers position in the state any more.

5. Thank you for that. I've been poking around on the web to see what's what
over in the Empire State.

I'm a former resident and now you've caught me pining away for all the excitement.

Good point on Rudy -- he seems to be mentioned a lot for the gubernatorial race. But I just hope he decides against it, or, if he does make the run, I hope Paterson whips him good.

2. My Lt Governor used to be Michael Steele
But the dems took over again and he is jobless and trying to get a job as the head of the DNC.

3. I'm easily confused Are you talking about New York State or Maryland?
And I believe if it's the same Michael Steele, he plays for the red team.

The dems ran a weak candidate, she was good, but she wasn't a strong campaigner, so Ehrlich won. :puke: 1 term only, but still...yucky. Back to the dems now. And that should have been RNC instead of DNC.
