Ben & Jerry Honor Obama With "Yes, Pecan"
Edited on Wed Jan-14-09 11:31 AM by lame54

Ben & Jerry's has renamed its Butter Pecan flavor 'Yes Pecan' for this inaugural month, with all proceeds at scoop shops going to Common Cause. (Of course, they could have done Barack Cherry or, ahem, Black Barry.) "We want to be proactive in encouraging all of us to engage in the process of getting America back on a positive track," said Ben & Jerry's "Chief Euphoria Officer" named, naturally, Walt Freese. "As we see it, it's a good time and a fitting way for us to honor that change."

3. Doesn't this joke depend on how you pronounce pecan?
Edited on Wed Jan-14-09 11:47 AM by wuushew

6. Yes, wuushew,
it took me a while to get it when I first read about this flavor a few months ago. I pronounce pecan pu-cahn, with the accent on the last syllable.

4. If Bush II had a flavor it would be "Pralines and Shit"
To quote a film that has not aged as well as it could.

10. On a completely non-political angle: Ben & Jerry's Butter Pecan is terrible.
Where's the butter? It's vanilla ice cream with some nuts.
