Does anyone know when Bush moves out of WH and Obamas in?
Who sleeps at the WH the night of 1/19, the outgoing or the incoming president?
I was never so fascinated with the details of an administrative change in the past. What about you?

1. Not sure, but if Obama's pic doesn't go up on the federal office walls on the 20th
I'm going to speak up and provide a computer printout of one.

2. Obamas do not move in until after the Inaugural parade, in time to get ready

for the Inaugural Balls that night.

The White House staff unpack Obamas' clothes and personal effects after the Inauguration.
They have a very short time period to get the Obamas moved in.

There was an article about it in our paper this a.m. I'll look for the link.

4. Fascinating
I guess at this point they are getting used to other people touching their personal effects and setting them up. I'm a rather private person and would need to get used to having strangers handling my clothes and personal effects, unpacking my things and putting them away. After all, how will they now how I would like things to be done? Or can they really do things better than I can do myself? LOL

7. geez, I don't know...
I could get used to people washing my clothes, packing my stuff, doing the housework, walking the dog, shopping for food, cooking and cleaning up afterwards, filling up the gas tank, maintaining the car, doing the yard work, schlepping me around where ever and when ever I want...

Oh yeah, it wouldn't take a lot to convince me. LOL

8. I watched a tv show in 2001..
that showed what went on in the move in/move out. It was pretty frantic...seeing one family off, and another one in, in the space of a couple of hours on Inauguration Day. The out-going President doesn't leave the White House until the Inauguration ceremony.
