Can any explain this DU Republican ad for me?

It's an Adbot ad that I keep seeing at the end of DU threads. Is DU so desperate for cash that it has to run strange deceptive adds for the opposition party or am I missing something here? Just curious.

1. It's a Google ad and DU has nothing to do which ones show.

If you have a donor star you can shut off seeing the ads.

If you talked about John McCain in a thread, you would see John McCain ads. If you talk about Ann Coulter, up pops an ad for her book. If you talk about Republicans and money, you'll probably see that ad.

I am not gonna click on your link, sorry. You're going to see stupid ads here, because we discuss the opposition.

Just ignore the things, or donate and turn them off if they bother you. Don't obsess. It's an ad revenue thing for the site owners. This isn't a charity, after all.

Which listed Obama's I.Q. at 121. I find that hard to believe. Particularly since I have seen earlier ones listing GWB's I.Q. at 127. I don't think so.

he might change the settings to not allow that ad any more. I think he did that with one before, but it was so long ago, I can't remember the details. Apparently, you can turn certain ads off.
