"How low the Clinton's can fight..."!!!
Tweety's show is doing a smash and smear on the Clintons. Did Hillary put out a commercial smearing Obama? Did any of her supporters? What has she done that's "low"? The one thing I remember best about the Clintons is that they always took the high road.

God, I hate being put in the position of defending Hillary but I know disingenuous slime when I hear it.

1. Tweety needs to go. Let's call his advertisers. Anyone have a list handy?
If so, post it asap, please.

3. Did you enjoy his prediction that America would sympathize with Gonzales?
Because he Latino? And they're picking on him?

Oh, and he just said Hillary looks like Madame DeFarge. Because she's dealing with serious issues and Tipper gets to be a housewife?

Hillary is our first serious female presidential candidate which makes her fair game as a candidate but I can live without her being smeared because she isn't baking cookies.

And this is my first experience with Noron O'Donnell. What a piece of work she is.

2. I agree - the Clintons never even took on TeamBush while Democrats were being smeared
and lied about since the Clintons trashed the White House story.

In fact, the Clintons stayed noticeably quiet the last 7 years of BushInc's dominance over the news cycles, and never had a bad word to say about the Bushes in 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006, so why does Tweety pretend TeamClinton is so fierce?

Tweety isn't dealing with a full deck if he thinks the Clintons are tough on the Bushes or the Republican party.

5. I've never heard a Clinton say a bad word about anyone.
Which is one reason Bill is good at negotiating peace deals. He doesn't take a side, he assumes both parties are human with real concerns and goes from there.

Their grace under fire during their White House tenure always impressed me (while NAFTA didn't). But Hillary destroyed my faith with her .......I don't know what to call the war vote. The Dems who voted for it who had presidential ambitions showed fear of the Republican smear machine to me. And they put that over the good of the nation. I will always have trouble with that vote.

7. True - the only time I even heard Hillary criticize someone was when she scolded
Kerry and publically sided with Bush and McCain's claim that Kerry insulted the troops when he dropped that pronoun from his joke.

4. This is what I can't understand.
We know he is a republican but if he had the Fairness Doctrine he would have to give both sides of a story. Or he would have to say, I have no information about this it is my opinion.

What I can't understand is how the democrats are letting all the talk shows etc be taken over by mostly right wing spewers. Where, except for Keith Olberman and Jack Cafferty is there one democratic side to anything on TV. It is our fault. We need a system. We need to have an organization that goes after the sponsors. Who gets them together and start, email and letter writing and messages to what newspapers will print them.

Look how soon they took Whoopi Goldberg off Slim Fast because she said something about bush. Look what they are still doing to the Dixie Chicks. I say we should get "down and dirty" with them also..throw these things in their sponsors face. I'd be glad to work for free for this organization if it was started.

8. They compromised Matthews a long time ago.
Probably during his heavy drinking days. Maybe someday he'll get himself out of the closet that they put him in.

11. Same here - cripes, Clinton 'war machine' was mothballed ten years ago - what's Matthews
got against a political machine that went away for ten years while IGNORING the ferocity and ethics-challenged political machine of BushInc that has been operating uncriticized by him and the rest of the corpmedia since 1997?

10. He's just plain stupid
like a mule- he latches on to one idea and bangs away it.

When the gay bashing hate filled marriage rhetoric was hot on the media menu tweety had one RW hate monger after another and never one member of the GLBT community. He also constantly confused the priest pedophelia scandal and kept interchanging gay sexuality until after many months someone corrected him and he changed...a little.
