I am so sick of CNBC politicizing the financial news....
They went from being a fairly even keeled station that reported on financial news into some rabid republican outlet. I think they see a real threat from Fox Business channel. Cavuto was, after all, at one time a CNBC anchor.

I think the best place to get financial news without all the hissy fits and overt political crap is Blomberg.

I'm an accountant and need to keep at least somewhat abreast of business happenings in order to answer questions from my clients.

But to listen to these increasingly vitriolic and overtly partisan self-styled news "anchors" is just beyond te pale. If I wanted to be insulted while watching the cable, I'd just turn to Fox...

2. I just posted something related to this

I can't even watch this stuff, but DH has it on all day at the Board of Trade for his job. I would lose my mind listening to this. There has to be a better source, no?

4. It's mind blowing how political these "anchors" have become...
Santelli has always been a loose cannon ad has gone off on Liesman more times than I care to remember.

He should probably lay off the canolli for a while...

8. Heck take the canolli, leave the amphetamines
He looks really wired doesn't he? What the hell is he on?

He reminds me of the character from Airplan... Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing airplane glue or whatever the line is. Maybe he was so excited because he's been hanging on to this since August?

Where can you go when you want normal financial reporting?

20. One would think seeing their GE stock lose 75% of its value might have caused a few of the CNBC
talking-heads to realize just how much of this financial/economic debacle/meltdown was caused by the cumulative effects of total 'puke control of all levers of power, their insanely irresponsible fiscal and tax policies, their undue influence on monetary policy to accommodate these policies, their perpetual wars of choice, and their laissez-faire approach to governance/regulation/oversight wherein the good ole boys get to privatize their ill-gotten gains, much through fraudulent practices and outright fraud, free of government interference, and have their losses, this time in the trillions of dollars, socialized: never has their been a more deserving bunch to have their 401(k)s reduced to 101- and 201(k)s than such talking-heads who are still blinded by the right. :P

6. Bloomberg and CNBC international are much better
Edited on Sat Feb-21-09 12:14 AM by FarCenter
More discussion of companies and markets, more economic analysis, less banter, less politics.

CNBC air talent are "personalities", not "reporters".

7. I'm tired of all of them showing bias in financial reporting. I do not care if the reporter thinks
it's bad that the Dow dropped 200 points or if they think it's great that oil futures dropped $10. Just report and keep your bias and opinions about what is good and bad about it to yourself.

14. The remote is your friend
Especially if it has a functioning "mute" button. Plus you can find out all the financial news you want right her on the inter webs. And without the fucking editorials.

16. I really don't see a change
I remember CNBC and FNN from back in the late 80' early 90's and haven't see much difference over the years. Maybe with the current economy more people are tuning in, but for some of us old timers it's same ol' same ol'.

18. It has gotten worse and worse quite recently. As soon as it became apparent that Obama was going to.
..win the right-wing hyperbole switched into full-gear..there is a political angle to EVERYTHING they say...Bloomberg and CNBC world is much, much better...just financial news and analysis...

Mark Haines, Santelli, Craplow, Melissa the Bottle blonde, and of course the original Coke Whore of Wall Street, Bartiromo have gotten more and more shrill since the inauguration...

I hate them all....

19. I agree, that it has gotten worse, and they act like the business class
should all be Republicans.

They forget to mention that the successful Warren Buffett as well as many other successful business people did not support McCain. :eyes:
