"I Want The Rapture Right Now"!!!
Okay, I don't care if I sound like a 2-year old in the toy store. I don't care if I am going to be spanked or put on time out! I don't care if my tantrum in the grocery store is causing people to stare and making my daddy embarrassed! I don't care that I am sprawled out like a rag doll on the floor... ...if he pretends to walk away and leave me I will just cry louder!!!

I don't care that I've cried so hard I am now making those stupid hiccup sounds with snot running down my nose....as I take heaving breaths trying to still cry but now I am too tired...I just look defeated and pathetic.....I DON'T CARE, I DON'T CARE, I DON'T CARE!

Because after all my cutting up and fussing and whining and crying, and even if I did not get what I wanted...my daddy is going to take me home, feed me, bath me, and tuck me in bed with my favorite animal And I will be happy in the morning when I wake up.

Father, come take me home.....NOW....please...

http://www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?t=81967

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Now they're having tantrums instead of prayers.

1. It's funny because the solution is so easy
Sad thing about the Rapture Ready death cult is that they just can't seem to pull the trigger.

7. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see just that sort of thing happen
Let one of the big moderators over at Rapture Ready propose they all drink the kool-aid and I have no doubt a good percentage would. I just worry about their kids.

35. It's happened before
First there was Jim Jones. That was over 900 people. Then there were the Hale-Bopp comet freaks who thought killing themselves would get them a ride on the comet.

Symbiotic psychosis. These people reinforce each other's neuroses and it can have disasterous consequences.

But I prefer Union City Blue or Hanging On The Telephone.

23. I read someplace that "Rapture"
was actually one of the very first "rap" songs.

Anyway, I always liked it...

37. Actually, "Walk this way" was the first rap song...
Aerosmith is the grandfather of rap. They even appeared in the video with Run DMC in their cover of Walk this way..

Peace,

Ghost

39. It was the second rap song
to hit the mainstream airwaves.
Rappers Delight was the first.
Aerosmith and Run-DMC came many years later.

6. They love 1 Cor 13
When it's read at a wedding. But that whole thing about "Love does not insist on its own way" or "Love keeps no record of wrongs, but rejoices in the truth," totally sail over their pointy little heads.

8. Did you stumble upon these idiots or have you been to this site before?
I've never had anyone so succinctly show how their faith in being born again is like a three year old's faith in daddy.

17. Unfortunately, I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church
and did the whole born again thingy when I was twelve. I have spoken many times with the God of my childhood to make sure He gets that I want no part of that rapture crap. I know it's supposed to be irrevocable but I have revoked, so there.

Those people freak me out.

This smiley here:
is so creepy. It's like walking dead smiley going up to sky guy. Right? Who would make a smiley like that? I mean who? And if they want it so badly, why don't they do us all a favor...

20. I like some of their smilies.
Then there are others that I am just bemused by. This one sums up my feelings about their movement.

I'm not sure what this one actually means. It certainly sums up them for me. I guess they apply it to people who believe other things.
This one is dedicated to the GOP, esp. Lindsey Graham

And this is how the real rapture will occur:

22. I've been asking that question since the late 70's when all this kookiness
was just really getting started. Back then, it was the Bakkers, then Grahams, the Swaggarts, all that old-time PTL (Pass The Loot) crowd who were just openly in it for the money. Then the repug party, particularly the neoKKKons saw just how useful the mind-control and crowd-control aspects were, right along with a pure-dee easy cash-cow. Thirty years later, we have the repug death-cult/loyal-voter/slogan-spewing/total-brainwashed-nutcase extreme right still giving their money and time away. The only difference is that it flows from megachurches to repug coffers these days. Otherwise, it's the same old cultmongers, bilking widows out of their social security checks and willing fools out of their own self-interest.

There are investigations pending that repugs in Congress have stonewalled into repugs laundering millions of "faith-based" dollars through "religious" storefronts that are nothing more than fundraising fronts for election campaigns and high-flying repug lifestyles. As the DOJ slowly de-politicizes, you watch and see which repug Congresscritters who suddenly "need to spend more time with their families" before 2010.

I don't hope the pig party implodes. I hope it explodes in flames and burns to the ground in the pyres it so richly deserves for its years of theft, lies, deceit, torture, war, greed, fake religion, persecutions, murder, ... and yes, if some of its cult-followers decide to jump up behind a comet, far be it from me to stop them. Good fucking riddance to nutcases, trash, and a drain on polite society. The rest of us are sick of them.

They do and say really odd things and then call the ridicule "suffering for Jesus". They are a very strange group for sure.

31. Their persecution complex helps keep them delusional.
“People don’t want to impart truth and reason, they just hate us.” The whole rapture concept keeps them from actually trying to make the world a better place.

28. Problem with that is that He wouldn't take these people.
They do not embody Christ's teachings, for the most part.

I know several Christians who do - but most of these people would rather spit on a poor person than serve them.
