Just heard "Brad" repub slicky boy on MSNBC spout the talking point du jour
"It's all irrelevant (pleading the 5th etc) because the prez has the right to fire any US attorney he wants so the Dems should drop this now".

All said in a high pitched voice tinged with panic.

I don't think even the MSNBC newsbabe (Chris?) was buying his bullshit.

3. I wasn't watching just listening
but he sounded like one of the army of college republic clones that they send forth to spout the gospel according to KKKarl on all the cable shows.

5. Firing is one thing, but stacking the deck when it comes to the
legal system is another. You cannot run the legal system in this country as if it were your own pretty toy to punish your enemies.

7. The US Attys serve at the pleasure of the President, but they do not SERVE the President.
He may ask for their resignations at any time, but he can NOT do so FOR ANY REASON.

This calls for Special Prosecutor with unlimited power to subpoena and a multi-million dollar budget to let the investigation go on for years and years. Too bad the GOP Congress let that expire.
