A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

Dear Senator Leahy,

We felt compelled to write to you regarding your recent call for the formation of a "Truth Commission." According to your press comments, this Commission is supposed to look at the following:

* the politicization of prosecution in the Justice Department
* the wiretapping of U.S. citizens
* the flawed intelligence used to justify the invasion of Iraq
* the use of torture at Guantanamo and so-called black sites abroad

3. Jeez, you'd almost think these ladies were........
CONSPIRACY THEORISTS!!! :wow:

At the 9/11 Commission hearings, little actual evidence was ever produced. Many individuals were not sworn in, critical witnesses were either not called to testify or were permitted to dictate the parameters of their own questioning, pertinent questions were omitted and there was little follow-up. Whistleblower testimony was suppressed or avoided all together. The National Security Agency, an intelligence agency that is responsible for the collection and analysis of foreign communications and foreign intelligence, was barely investigated at all.

9. Press for Truth -
A video everyone should see.

"9/11: Press for Truth" The families present their 2 1/2 year struggle to create an investigation and inquiry into the events of 9/11 -- which was at first heavily resisted and even explicity prohibited by the President and Vice-President. For an example of contrast in funding; the internal disruption of a Clinton-Lewisnki "sex scandal" the event was awarded a budget of 100 million dollars in total. Initially the 9/11 Comission was only alotted 3 million dollars and their time-limit was severly cut beyond the expecations of those who brought it into existence.

4. 9/11 widows
These women are doing one of the most patriotic acts in the history of our country!

They could drive investigations that might lead to proof our government executed 9-11. Even if it's not that blockbuster, there's so many other treasons and war crimes that they cannot all possibly be contained much longer.

The dam is about to burst. About bloody time!

5. Here's my letter to Sen. Leahy.
The Honorable Patrick Leahy

United States Senate

Dear Senator Leahy,

I watched today’s televised hearing, “Truth Commission on Bush Administration Policies” (03-04-2009). John Farmer testified before your Committee. The way that I understand events, John Farmer appears to have been involved in violaing Article 15 of the UN Convention Against Torture.

He was the chief counsel for the 9/11 Commission. Their published report included evidence obtained by torture.

Isn’t this a crime under international law?

***

CONVENTION AGAINST TORTURE

Article 15

Each State Party shall ensure that any statement which is established to have been made as a result of torture shall not be invoked as evidence in any proceedings, except against a person accused of torture as evidence that the statement was made.

***

The 9/11 Commission Report contains a text box that speaks directly to the issue. The disclaimer (page 146), entitled “Detainee Interrogation Reports,” reads:

... We submitted questions for use in the interrogations, but had no control over whether, when, or how questions of particular interest would be asked. Nor were we allowed to talk to the interrogators so that we could better judge the credibility of the detainees and clarify ambiguities in the reporting...

***

As far as I know, John Farmer has not yet denounced the 9/11 Commission Report for violating Article 15, even though he must know by now that the official report includes statements made as a result of torture.

Is there some official explanation of why this will not be considered a serious violation of the UN Convention Against Torture?

Thanking you in advance for taking the time to respond to this inquiry.

Sincerely,
XX XX

8. Also love the "9/11 Widows" and their courage -- and staying with this . . . .
That Arlen Spector -- a suspect in the JFK coverup coup -- is against the Truth

Hearings makes me wonder if they may work, at least to give us the info we really

need -- but I'm not impressed that Leahy is for them!

Leahy is adorable, but very non-effective if you look at the Thomas hearings and

other things -- he's a friend-maker, not a prosecutor!

Truth hearings have gotten some astonishing results, especially in Africa/Mandela --

but I think it is wrong in the case of 9/11 because what happened/MIHOP is so obvious.

Same with the JFK coup --

Maybe what Leahy is trying to say is that the power of these people to keep crimes

hidden exceeds our power or will to expose them. If that's the case, I still say, "No!"

On the other hand, if there are people willing to cooperate and reveal truths leading

to prosecutions of others, I'm all for it!
