Alas, this is the republican fantasy, they see the last 52 days of sanity as the end of the fucking world. Perhaps its just the end of THEIR little world. They totally ignore the war crimes, atrocities, torture, constitutional crimes, economic collapse, wars, and every fucking thing else bush and cheney ruined and fucked up, and they concentrate on the first 52 days of President Barack Obama as some sort of American holocaust.

Dumb fucks

1. It's All Good
Polling shows that the vast bulk of Americans see exactly what's happening - the Republicans are simply marginalizing themselves further. Unless some fresh blood takes over the party and cleans house, the Rethugs will kikely be all but wiped from the map in November 2010.

2. yeah, the cognitive dissonance is astounding with these people
I find it annoying as hell. Whenever one starts whining (usually it's about guns) I remind them of how far we've fallen in the last eight years, which normally falls on deaf ears.

In short: dumb fucks, as you said.

4. well, how is it different than when we idealize our youth.
Remember the good old days? I find myself doing that a lot for some reason. But of course there was the parts we forget... like the spankings. The lack of food and running water. and no heat. The fact that social services did nothing to help us. Back in the good old days. It's just more interesting because it really wasn't THAT long ago. So our memories shouldn't be so faded that we can have selective memory. Or can we. Some folks seem to. Look how great things were!!! Forget about the fact that it was a bubble that burst so bad it caught millions in its wake. But it was SOO awesome!!
