Many talking heads point to the fact that Limbaugh does have 20 million listeners but that if the GOP just caters to them they have no chance of winning. Well, the opposite is also true. If they cater to those conservatives who do not like Limbaugh and, thus, alienate the followers of Rush, they will not have enough votes to win, either!!

You have to roll around and laugh when you think about it. They created slime like him and the other right-wing hate mongers, gave them the talking points, and delighted as he pushed the Dems into obscurity for years (remember Rush admitting to 'carrying water'?). Now they can't shut up the monster they created who has turned and is eating them!

Have suggestion for GOP: either a) offer to keep Rush in Oxy if he shuts his mouth and supports them; or b) hire a PI to get the goods on Rush and his Oxy and blackmail him. Don't see a lot of ways out for you Igors.

1. I wouldn't be surprised at all

.. to see a headline one of these days that Rush gets arrested for big time possesion and this time they let him go up the creek. The amounts he had last time are automatic distubution charges in Florida I think too. Would put him away for a long time.

Always thought his numbers were inflated like his blimp body. But then maybe it's really too low an estimate---I mean a Ditto brain has to only count for one-half people, right???

It's that people who used to think "oh he's not so bad" saw his drivel put in to action and recognized Rush for what he is: a monster.

Now, minus the 20 million monsterettes Rush has no support. He has become "polarized," or polarizing. His fans are truly that: fanatical. But to everyone else he's scary.

This is indeed the double edge of galvanizing hateful, stupid people for your cause. Yeah, they can be easily manipulated to do what you want, but once more sensible people see them for what they are, their support becomes as much a hindrance as a help.
