Associated Press has launched Propaganda Blitz
Proof is in the Pudding Folks

Last night it was “Obama open to Taxing Health Care Benefits”

After all the flaming here on DU some one researched the story and found out Obama said “Every thing is on the Table” which the AP journalist promptly took to mean Obama would renege on his campaign promise and platform and follow McCain’s plan of taxing Health Care Benefits.

Right –

Today it is “Obama reverses Opposition to Mexican Trucks"

Which is such a Bull Shit story on the face of it only the hardcore Freeptard publications ran with it.

Every day we have “Doom and Gloom in the Stock Market” yet last weeks rally last 4 consecutive days.

What next…

3. He needs to stop saying 'everything is on the table.' Leftovers Suck!
It's an ambiguous and squiggly term.

4. I disagree that this "everything is on the table" sucks......
President Obama works the status quo and his opposition in a different way from how the standard kiss ass Democrats as well as the pure at heart ideologues do it. He talks about a vague vision without proposing too many specifics, allows for debate, and then ends up with a proposed plan.

It isn't that he doesn't already know pretty much what he believes is the solution, and which way he will go; he does. Rather, in order to satisfy the opposition yearning to be heard, he allows for a process of open exchange to come BEFORE he presents his policy details. This results in an opposition that while fighting to be heard, cannot be busy mounting a campaign against what is to be proposed, since they aren't quite sure what that will be.

That's his strategy, and it is a pretty good one, considering what Washington and our media has become.

7. I disagree with you, but can appreciate your positive attitude
There IS NO opposition. The Republican party is essentially dead, yet Obama and the M$M are helping to breathe life into it. Which is just politics.

If he has a strategy you believe in, that's cool.

I'll stay grumpy.

:D

9. There is no opposition?
I cannot buy this notion.

Granted, the opposition may not have good ideas, but that has never stopped them before, and it won't this time around either. Remember that they have the media on their side. That is examplified each and every day.

So I will agree to disagree...and no, I'm not an optimist, I'm a realist and a pragmatist, very much like this President.

10. The GOP’s strategy is to destroy American Economy
So why not feed them all the rope they need

The minute the economy begins to turn around “all is forgotten and all is forgiven” Except for 1 thing – The GOP were wrong every step of the way. That is what America will walk away from this fight with.

You better believe GOP Corporatist have sold out of the market and are waiting for the right time to get back in. And you know they are going to jump back into the market when they feel they see bottom. Already the market has hit historic lows and the market rallied for 4 consecutive days.

So even the “Doom and Gloom” economic predictions we see every day are in a way a means to manipulate the market for an even Lower Bottom. To Maximize Profits for when they do re-enter the market and it’s predictable rise

Don't listen to their words - look at their Actions

5. Of course it has. But there's this...
http://www.rgemonitor.com/financemarkets-monitor/255984/stress_test_zombies_not_too_big_to_fail_tough_tootsies_little_banks

which is a bit thick for the doughy middle of America to retain and engrain deep in the fissures of our little minds.
so it's easier to lie often enough for shit to stick to the walls. at least make it stink.

There's this little bit about Obama's man Tim Geithner;

"...If anyone in the US media had thought to ask a former Australian prime minister for his assessment, they would have heard a different view. And they would not have been so surprised at Geithner's performance since..."

11. Yes I've read that before - but from living in Asia I can say this
What ever Tim Geithner did may have had less to do with the Asian Economy then the corruption that plagues the Asian governments.

At some point the government of those countries needs to take responsibility for International companies not wanting to do business in places where your competition can bribe government officials to levee additional taxes on you

12. Then you saw the Baht
drop 50% against the USD. Which was the thin edge of the wedge for the Asian bubble economy's collapse. And here we are with our own head in the sand.
True, corrupt Asian gov'ts are at fault but they are armatures and punks when compared to the global money elites.

At some point the US gov't will need to take responsibility for our own corruption. But it has not. And I'm not hopeful.
