Why the fuck isn't Dick Cheney in prison?
Did I just hear on the radio a clip of him disavowing his own administration's complicity in our current economic problems? Was he throwing it in Clinton's lap?

Sorry, this is a vent, not a post.

Cheney is a criminal IMO. It insults everything I believe in to hear him interviewed or taken seriously in the media.

I see him as another brick in the wall the shameful GOP is trying to build to subvert President Obama's efforts to prevent our economy from entire collapse.

Call me a conspiracist. What do you call it when everyone who is guilty of crime X accuses everyone who is not guilty of crime X of committing crime X?

1. I was against pressing criminal charges, but if this lying evil man insists on
these public appearances and disgusting displays, I think jail may be needed.

34. What possible reason could someone have for not wanting prosecutions of people
that have openly boasted about committing "war crimes" and have activily worked to put America into Great Peril? I don't understand. If these things are something we as a nation abhor then why in the world would we ignore them and allow the culprits to raom free?

35. Right now there are serious issues that have to be addressed
they are more important than going after the dirtbags from the Bush admin. We all know that going after them would turn Washington into a 3 ring circus and none of the other important issues would be addressed. However if former vice president asshat keeps up with his lies and slander, I say take him down.

4. What do you call it?
What do you call it when everyone who is guilty of crime X accuses everyone who is not guilty of crime X of committing crime X?

The American way. We've all seen examples of this in our own lives. Family, personal, business lives. People project their own faults and shortcomings onto others.

Cheney is merely an extreme example but he is by no means unique.

I don't mind that Cheney is trying to do this.

I mind like hell that the news media are enabling him. And failing to call him on his lies.

27. Some might take issue
with that, BuyingThyme. I won't. It is the special operations and media manipulation, shadow government part of the government they are on charge of. They never fully relinquished control after Clinton was elected. Why should they?

10. Is the US doomed to repeat the mistakes after the Nixon debacle?
By not prosecuting these criminals the US is on the path again to utter destruction by the Republicans and their Neo-Conservative movement.

I don't care if it makes people angry that the DOJ would be investigating treasonous crimes against the nation. If the DOJ would have done their job in the early 70's we wouldn't be so screwed now.

We all need to vent. I couldn't agree with you more. His crimes go back to Reagan's administration. Why this bastard is even allowed to speak is beyond me. What kind of world does this man intend to leave as his legacy? He has spent his entire life raping the world in every possible way.

22. Yeah, I'm clinging on that hope
From what I see so far I think it is "on the table" as far as Obama is concerned. The very fact that this man can get up in the morning and look himself in the face and function in any way is just beyond me. I have tried to imagine what kind of monster could do what he has done, what kind of human could do what he has done. I am just dumbfounded. This man is without any conscience. He is truly the worst human (if he is human) that this country has ever produced. The man has no soul. Perhaps he really DID die.

Bill Clinton wasn't "above the law", but the top republicans ARE!
