Santa Claus on the wall at school! I am offended!

I am Jewish and I am outraged that some people say it is an issue of FREEDOM to be able to put hand-drawn Santa Claus pictures on a wall at a PUBLIC SCHOOL!

Why should MY TAX DOLLARS be spent on a symbol that is offensive to me and every other religious group that doesn't worship the Christian Faith!

So I started a letter-writing campaign and organized a protest at our local synagogue. We raised AWARENESS of this serious issue.

After the local paper wrote an article about it, the school finally backed down and removed the offending pictures.

THAT is the American Way and THAT is Democracy!

Finally MY RIGHTS to religious freedom were recognized and respected.













(The above is a metaphor for so much of the intolerance that we see in the American culture. Yes. INTOLERANCE in the name of "Freedom". We have lost all sense of proportionality and confuse freedom for "doing it MY WAY". We fail to recognize that when we grab freedom, we usually take it away from someone else. So I say again... Tolerance, proportionality and balance is what is missing largely in our culture today.)

3. I agree..leave the Santa up on the wall..

but leave space for Jewish symbols, Buddhist symbols, Pagan symbols, and any other religion or path out there..and lets not forget to leave a big blank space for those with no religion....that sounds fair.
Or maybe we could each chose to teach our own children at home the spiritual and religious values we wish them to have and stop shoving our own brand of religion down everyone else's children's' throats...

5. Hell, on St. Patrick's day everyone at work was wearing green

and the city of Dublin (ohio) where I work had green all over the place.

I was terrified - I am not catholic or irish, I felt bullied by people telling me to have a happy st patrick's day - why not say 'happy holiday' instead???

I am too weak minded to see the green and hear that, I went home crying :rofl:
