19. I intentionally left 'terrorism' off the list. I wondered how long it would take for someone to
mention it, but nobody has, even four hours later.

Dick Cheney would be so disappointed in you all. Waugh! Waugh!

7. I voted for "economic collapse"
But given that I'm a major fan of both Joss Whedon and George Romero, I'm still betting on the Hellmouth or a zombie apocalypse.

12. Capitalism leads to corporatism leads to collapse of the global economy
so, among your answers, I suppose "corporatism" is closest, although it is an inevitable symptom of capitalism.

15. Other: no health insurance
If a person has no health insurance, they are not likely to have much of anything checked out. They're just hoping for the best. We have many silent killers that, if caught early, can be managed. Because of this lack of care, millions are prevented from this option with their health.

Personally, I have a very good policy but I sure know what it's like not to have one. I want everyone to have good, quality insurance.

18. Corporatism
Edited on Sat Mar-21-09 05:54 PM by LiberalPersona
It's the cause of the failing economy as unregulated capitalism is unsustainable and our withering freedoms as the non-elite becomes more and more of a slave class.

Peak oil is a symptom of this as the corporate elite has held us back from developing and putting to wide use other sources of energy because oil makes too much money for them money.

22. Other: capitalism.
The whole "corporatism" thing is just a neologism for folks who want to revert to 19th century capitalism in a 21st century world. "Corporatism" is the unavoidable state of 21st century capitalism. We're never going to be a nation of wholesome mom and pop stores who don't pay off government officials. It's not going to happen.
