New Deal Opposition Came from Republicans (The More Things Change.....)

As Barack Obama, by using Keynesian economic policies, takes on the monumental task of saving the U.S. economy from the second collapse created by Republican lazez-faire policies in 75 years, a look back seems appropriate.

FDR had to overcome the criticism that Barack in now encountering during the first New Deal. It's amazing to see the quotes of the Republicans at the time and realize that today we are hearing the same recycled nonsense.

It will take time and patience, but let's just watch and see these same Keynesian policies pull us out again and reap the Democratic majority for another generation.
