On MSNBC they were reading our DU posts verbatim.
It was on a new news show whereby members of a panel debated one another by reading our posts on air. I didn't catch the name of the show.

The way they have it set up, the TV screen looks pretty much like a DU screen except when they cut away to the beautiful members of the panel who sit on a fancy set and look beautiful.

Rachel Maddow is apparently one of the regulars. I don't remember who else, but they're all confident talking-heads types.

They changed my screen name for the show to something more personal, but all of your screen names stayed the same. My posts seemed to be getting a little more attention than yours, as they made the most sense.

When I opened my eyes, I awoke to see my laptop, sitting beside my bed, looking just as I had envisioned those screen-shots from that new show on MSNBC. And I'm still making the best arguments.

Good morning, DU.

7. DU has a high rank on Google. I have started threads when researching a topic, and
my thread will pop up on Google at the top of the list almost as soon as it is started.
DU is a good way to communicate to the journalism community if you know how to employ keywords.
If you want people researching Bush to find your Bush comments, do not do this B**h stuff, instead use the actual word Bush many times.
Keyword redundancy gets you to the top of the list!!

8. How do you know whether or not the results
have been customized for you?

10. If I'm researching a topic, like "torture tapes" today, my search term matches my posts, so
Edited on Mon Mar-23-09 01:11 AM by L. Coyote
the probability I'll get my own post as a result is high.
Especially if the MSM is silent on the topic!!

What is noteworthy is that Google crawls this site with very high frequency,
and rates this site highly. So, if you keep researching the term,
your own post will pop up in the results.

In part, this is due to my style of doing compilation threads,
and one reason I do compilation threads is so they turn up on Google for journalists.
I've taught web authoring and know a bit about rank and search engines,
so I understand how to enhance rank by using keywords.

11. Being that this site uses a customized Google search, I suspect it gets indexed ongoingly.
I used to be an expert at getting things indexed on Webcrawler, Yahoo, Google, Lycos, etc. Back in the old days, I had my run of the place. If something didn't show up in the top five or so, I tweaked it until it did. I made a lot of money doing that.

12. They crawl this site frequently because it changes every minute and has high traffic.
I have a Google search on my domain too, but my site is static by comparison. Google crawls it once a month.

15. I never thought of the implications of not writing out Bush Crimes.
Have we been helping to protect and hide Bush's Crimes? Bush, torturer, war criminal. Damn, all this time I just thought I was doing my civic duty of disrespecting bush, the war criminal, and it turns out I've been running interference.
