Last night Keith Olbermann cleared up some of S. Hersh's comments about Cheney's assassination working group - it is an overseas working group, not domestic.

So people, take off the tinfoil. Also, remember, Bob Woodward all ready spoke about this about a year ago on 60 Minutes.

1. I thought that was apparent all along

it's still a reason for concern, with Cheney being the judge and jury

Were responding like this was a domestic assassination squad; also, they were responding like they had heard this for the first time, when Woodward had reported it some time ago and I believe, alluded to it in his last book.

But I have seen where people have tried to link the airplane crash of Wellstone and the suicide of the DC Madame to Cheney.

5. O'Reilly & the republican media machine is trying to spin this as a domestic plot.....

Saying Herrh wouldn't be alive if they was a Cheney killing squad in this country.

Although I do believe Cheney & the boys certainly knocked off the republican hated - anti Iraq war senator Paul Wellstone, who was on his way to victory in his re-election bid in 2002 and was absolutely going to be a thorn to Bush & Cheney imperialistic ambitions.

After Wellstone went down....there was absolutely zero dissent to what the republicans were doing and with Wellstone gone it also gave the republican a majority in the senate...a few excellent reasons for a hit?

3. While I never once thought Hersh meant anything other than overseas...

I can see why people were paranoid. Bush/Cheney had the FBI log names of protesters, infiltrate peace groups, wiretap political enemies and worse yet perform rendition on American citizens to Gitmo that were innocent. We're still not quite sure who is all being detained down there.

There was legitimate reason to fear what this Administration was doing domestically.

If military units were using snipers and operatives to take out people so our soldiers weren't harmed, then that doesn't bother me.


But go back and re-read some of the entries about this unit. Many here were tossing around all sorts of claims that make us look kind of off beat.
