Were you watching Channel 2 news tonight? They were saying that in 1989-90, there were 40 eruptions over six months, but this time we've had 10 in less than a week. Last time the ash went up to 40,000 feet, this time it's 65,000. I'm scheduled to go to LA on April 16 for the birth of my next grandchild. I sure hope I can get out of town.

I'll feel safer after Good Friday. Alaska doesn't have a good history with Good Fridays -- earthquakes, oil spills .......... volcanoes?
