Sign the Petition to End Forced Arbitration

"Sign our petition to demand an end to forced arbitration! When consumers and employees are forced into unchecked arbitration just to get a job or use a service or product, the law flies out the window, and companies can avoid accountability."

4. I hope DUers understand that "forced arbitration" to many people violates an inalienable right
acknowledged by our Constitution, a right for each individual that government is supposed to protect and not take away to protect corporations.
Amendment VII In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

5. How do you feel about it - if it is not "forced?"
i.e., what if both parties to the contract AGREE to arbitration because both parties agree that court cases can take many years and many thousands of dollars to judicate? For example, a real estate contract has an arbitration clause, but both parties must initial it - if they do not, then the courts can handle it at great expense to the parties.

6. I prefer to discuss "forced arbitration" as stated in the OP that to many people infringes upon the
VII Amendment.

Perhaps you should start another thread on the merits of "non-forced arbitration".
