Chris Mathews vs Arlin Specter in Democratic Primary?
Who would you support?

I know that Chris Mathews talked of running but supposedly withdrew his interest in the race and went back to MSNBC? If Rep Sestak(sp?) drops from the race, would Mathews be a good option to run against Specter? I cannot imagine that the Democrats would surrender that seat to Arlen Specter without a fight?

1. Matthews would be better, but not by much
He's pretty much a middle of the road Democrat, but that would still be better than Arlen "I want Norm Coleman to win" Specter.

2. Not much difference imo - Chris has said that sometimes he votes Dem...
...and sometimes Republican.

I'm hoping PA has a progressive choice in the primary ~ and have told Specter's office that I will be working for that person.

4. But if the Party leaders twist their arms and they withdraw from the primary...?
Would Mathews be an acceptable outsider to run against Specter. I hope someone runs against him.
