So you're pissed at the way health care proposals, torture prosecutions,
bigshot bailouts, mortgage relief, EFCA, and a few other things are going.

Are you bitching, whining, or screaming about your feelings on these things?

If not, why not? I do believe that this administration--and Congress--can be made to move in the right direction on most of these things. But only if they feel the heat. So bitch, whine, scream, write letters to the editor, show up at Congresscritters' listening sessions, and otherwise become as much of a pain in the ass as possible for the people who are supposedly running things in this country. I think this is especially true if you happen to be "blessed" by DINO Congresscritters. They need to be reminded of what party they nominally belong to. They need to be reminded of the Primary process, and how things could turn really ugly for them in 2010.

2. do you realize how much would get done if we could net 5 progressive dems in the Senate?
the repukes are self destructing and a whig-like pace.

How long before we start identifying the races where we could put a few more liberal, progressive, bleeding heart, tree hugging, civil rights minded Democrats in office and then we apply our Obama-like netroots movement to that race. Millions of dollars and millions of man-hours and we'd get what we want.

3. I have been told that all of those issues are just ponies I want.
I thought (and still think) they are very important, so yes I have been screaming my lungs out - unfortunately I have learned to continue to focus it on congress critters and less and less here as well.

Dissent is not welcome and Rule of Law is a pony

Health care is a pony

Labor rights is a pony

Mortgage relief is a pony

So many ponies that I have my own petting farm and I'm discouraged from bringing any of it here.
It makes it harder because when it was a republican government all of these issues were welcome and it used to be a good source to share information toward common goals.

Many here do it any way - goddess bless them - I rec and support those few but I know the real sentiment these days is fall in line.

Sad actually.
