Blue Cross/Blue Shield's campaign aimed at killing a key plank in Obama's reform platform.
Breaking news on health care: The Washington Post is now reporting that insurance giant Blue Cross Blue Shield "is putting the finishing touches on a public message campaign aimed at killing a key plank in Obama's reform platform."

Blue Cross/Blue Shield ND just received 7.9 percent increase. They had tried for 14%. Now I know why.

1. Thank you for posting this important information
My first experience when I was actually ill with managed care was several years ago. I developed bronchitis. I had it once before and recognized the symptoms.

I called the doctor's office, and the receptionist told me the doctor could not see me for three weeks. I said, "Listen. I know you have a wellness campaign going, but there should be a few empty slots in the doctor's schedule for patients who call up actually ill." She put me on hold and came back to say they would see me two days later. I went to a clinic down the street. Bronchitis is nothing to fool around with. I also changed doctors.

I don't think any of the health care providers under managed care will let a single payer option fly without a tremendous pr campaign against it. I am disappointed Blue Cross is such a blatant participant with these asinine commercials.

Sam
