FReepers latest brainstorm (oxymoron, I know)
"In God We Trust", Write it on your mail!
Mind Freed

Posted on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 8:51:52 AM by Mind Freed

Payback is fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! WRITE IT ON THE BACK OF YOUR ENVELOPES or front! WE THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA. WE'LL START WRITING IT ON THE FRONT OF OUR ENVELOPES, TOO! ! Including Bills

You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say 'IN GOD WE TRUST ,' The law, they say, is being violated.

Anyway, we heard proposed on a radio station show, that we should all write ' IN GOD WE TRUST' on the back of all our mail. After all, that's our National Motto, and it's on all the money we use to buy those stamps. We think it's a wonderful idea.

We must take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed.

The idea of writing or stamping 'IN GOD WE TRUST ' on our envelopes sounds good to us . WE'RE HAVING A STAMP MADE TOO! Heck, lets use it as our signature on e-mails too!

It's been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, we have a very hard time understanding why there's such a mess about having 'In God We Trust!' on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance .

Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to 'sit down and shut up'?

Nice to know that with the economy in the crapper this is the kind of important issue they concern themselves with

made official by Congress back in the '50s...

6. 68% where they pull that number from? Oh yeah thats right they got the 68%
the same place they have their heads shoved up, Glenn Becks ass. National motto? Since when have we had a national motto? Besides the national motto of cons is "if it sounds stupid enough it must be the truth".

Edited on Wed May-20-09 11:28 AM by Bleacher Creature
Do they not realize that this is the EXACT reason why the founders put the separation of church and state in the First Amendment? Do they really think that the point was to protect the 86%??????? Have any of them even looked at the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom that Thomas Jefferson drafted?

23. They sure do, remember with them its majority rules until they find themselves in
the minority then they whine and cry abut it not being fair. They are actually that dumb, as most of america seems to be with a few exceptions who research before posting their truths. From what I have seen and heard from those around me is crap like well theres more Dems then cons so why don't they just pass a bill because majority rules.

19. write on the front of envelopes?
about 4 people will see the message...if the machine does`t kick it out into the hand mail bin.

if it`s on the back maybe 3 will see it.

to bad the freepers have`t figured out that the mail system is automated.

writing on bills? one human or one scan reader will see it.

teabags anyone?

Big mistake. Many religious people do not approve of slathering God slogans everywhere and anywhere.

26. As an Atheist, I can attest that reading "In God We Trust" makes me curl up and mew like a sick cat
It's like garlic to a vampire, it is. Really.

Oh, please, Freepers, not that! ANYTHING but that!

...:eyes:

besides.

a) "86%" of you imbeciles can't read, much less write, and

b) the folks opening your mail at the inflatable wife company only care about the check inside, they don't give a shit what you've written on the envelope.
