1. He retired from drawing the strip.
Worked on the Boondocks TV cartoon show for awhile.

Wrote some graphic novels.

He's working on all sorts of different projects.

2. IMO he should have never stopped drawing his comic strip
The TV version wasn't nearly as good.

No idea what he's up to now.
