Insurgents Show McCain Just How SAFE Baghdad Really Is...
Edited on Wed Apr-04-07 09:03 AM by kpete
The latest massacre of Iraqi children came as 21 Shia market workers were ambushed, bound and shot dead north of the capital. The victims came from the Baghdad market visited the previous day by John McCain, the US presidential candidate, who said that an American security plan in the capital was starting to show signs of progress.

The Kirkuk bloodshed erupted when a bomber driving a truck full of explosives hidden by sacks of flour targeted an Iraqi police station that US soldiers were visiting. The full force of the blast hit a nearby primary school.

Buthayna Mahmud, 10, was horrified to see the bodies of her classmates strewn on the ground in flames. “Everyone I saw was wearing the blue school uniform drenched with blood. Some of their dresses were torn. I only saw fire. I heard teachers and students shouting,” she said. “When we rushed out of the school, we saw pupils on the ground, some of them burning.”

McCain went in there waving his "manhood" around and saying "it's safe, see how safe it is". Then the next day the insurgents made a point of saying "we'll show you just how safe it is". Pretty disgusting all round. McCain won't care, good imperialist that he is, Iraqi lives are irrelevant and just fodder to use in salvaging the imperial project. http://www.dailykos.com/comments/2007/4/3/231526/6368/130#c130

2. Disgusting.
McCain has a warped view of how lost Iraq really is. It's not worth it anymore, time to go home. And unfortunately once we do, this will only get worse.

And these terrorists are the most despicable scum on the planet. Reading stories like this just makes my blood boil. Fuck them.

13. ya know, i think its as likely to get better as it is to get worse
I have this feeling that without us to be the continuing irritant they'd establish some sort of standoff condition sooner rather than later

Joe Biden is absolutely correct - they need separate autonomous areas, and until then the friction will continue, but they are gravitating that way already, and the finality of our leaving might just get more of them to accept that they have to solve it or die

4. this blood is on mccain's hands.
What the hell was he thinking.

Don't tell me mccain wouldn't have known retaliation for his propaganda stunt was a very real and expected outcome. Being evil doesn't make you stupid all of a sudden.

My insides are being torn up by the suffering and pain we've inflicted on these poor Iraqis.

I'm so sorry world. Eat shit and die mccain.

Lindsey Graham's photo op walk through put the market right smack into the rebels'
plan to make a statement.

Way to go Senator McCain.

8. I think this points out the difference between men who have actually served on the ground in combat
and those who were fly boys and desk jockeys. No offense to them, but there is a very stark contrast to your view of war when you are fighting it on a daily basis as opposed to jumping in a plane and dropping a few bombs before heading back to your air conditioned hooch. Reality is reality and only those who do the actual fighting daily should be listened to. If we had done that in Vietnam the war would have ended much sooner. IMHO!
