On MSNBC they showed Tancredo's rant about La Raza. He even made the (false) claim that they have a motto: The race and nothing else (or some other such nonsense). After he finished speaking, Clarissa Martinez who is from La Raza (don't know her position) went on to make an eloquent and calm statement about how Tancredo is diverting attention from this historic moment to spread ugliness and untruths. She said he is an embarrassment to the Repube-lican party and she wants an apology from Michael Steele. She also said they don't have a motto.

Smackdown with class.

The 'pubes have completely lost the Latino vote, perhaps the most important demographic for votes since they are increasing at the fastest rate.

11. My building has many Cuban and Puerto Rican older people living

here (Florida). Two of these ladies sit with us on the patio once in a while, so yesterday we congratulated both of them on the nomination of Sotomayor and how wonderful a pick she was. They thanked us but stated that the "mean and nasty remarks were very hurtful, especially for her mother." These women both moved here from Miami and told us they used to vote republican. They will never vote republican again and had no problem in telling their families to do the same. I took great pleasure in watching some of the repugs on the patio do a little squirm on that one.

Repugs are making a huge mistake here. Huge.
